On the bottom row of cages there were two little guys in a cube together. The older one, who was only 5 months old at the time, was very friendly and he grabbed right on to Kris' coat. The younger one, who was only 3 months old and had been at the shelter since right after he was born, was more shy. The older one stole both our hearts, but I couldn't image leaving the younger one there since all his life he had known the older one. We ended up adopting both of them.
These are our boys...Stinker (grey tiger stripe) is the older one that stole the show at the shelter and has since become "my cat." He wakes me up every morning and we do this head butting thing and give each other hugs. He's also the one you'll most likely find curled up with me on the couch. We also gave him the nickname "Jealous" since he tends to become a bully if we are petting the other cat and knocks him out of the way. He also gets jealous of Kris.
This is Achilles. He got his name because on his rear right leg he has a patch of black on otherwise four white paws. He's our baby, but we've decided he's actually the boss of the two since he's the one that grooms Stinker. He doesn't like hugs, but he will give me kisses. His nickname is "Squeaker" because he doesn't really meow, he makes more of a squeaking noise and he tends to sing to you if you squeak back at him.
And this is how we spend most nights when it is cold in the house. I think the three of us think it's a lot colder than Kris does since we're the ones under/on the blanket most of the time.
