These Boots Were Made for Walking...

Well the bet was that John Stephen would be walking by the end of September and he beat us all. He started taking steps towards the end of August and got really good by about the second week of September. We was walking from one end of our living room to another, mostly without falling. Since he spends most of his day at daycare in the room the bigger "infants" and they get to go outside to play, we went ahead and bought him his first pair of shoes. The first day he wore them we went to a family dinner at the nursing home where Oma is. He had a hard time knowing how to pick up his feet enough not to keep tripping with the shoes on, so we took them off and let him play.By the third day he had the shoes he looked like an old pro walking around in them. And now we're just waiting for his next set of teeth to come in. We're pretty sure the top two have started their arrival process, but as we learned with the first two, that took about a month. Maybe by his birthday he'll have at least four teeth!
